Mommy, and Grandma Pat with the kids on Mothers Day!

Yippee. Finally two post within 30 days! I said I would get better. As usual things are busy as ever around here. Nate just finished exams last week, once his scores are in he will be able to pick up some extra shifts in other hospitals. We were up north for an eventful Mothers Day/ Fishing opener weekend. Then had Grandma and Grandpa Edwards come and visit last weekend. After watching all of the other toddlers walk around at last Thursday's play group Elliot gave in. He woke Saturday morning and was walking everywhere and hasn't stopped. He had taken his first steps the first weekend of May, but that was it for him. But now that they are both on the move our days go even faster. With all of the walking excitement this weekend we also had some rough and tumble playing between babies; it is their new favorite thing to do! On Saturday Elliot managed to bit Olivia so hard, you can still see his teeth marks in her arm, and yesterday he managed to hit her right in the eye, leaving her with a instant shiner! Have a fun and safe Memorial Holiday!

Our Spring ECFE Class, Today was the last day

Elliot and Olivia LOVE their new wagon!

Well once again I have managed to put off uploading photos for yet another month! Who has time???? If only I could teach the kids how, and if only they would nap long enough for me to accomplish something.

With the exception of some rain this weekend it has been so nice here, so we have been spending a LOT of time OUTDOORS!! Yippee. I keep thinking eventually things will slow down but now I am beginning to think quite the opposite! Olivia is literally RUNNING through the house, and Elliot is still watching! If you can trick him into it he will take a half a step but as soon as he notices you are not holding on to him he immediately sits down. At ECFE a couple weeks ago the teacher made a comment that Olivia was a VERY independent little girl who was not going to take much from anyone, then she asked who she seemed to be taking after.... I don't think I really need to answer that one! It is still shocking to me to think that her strong personality is that noticeable.

Ok. On to the photos!!! Enjoy, and do not loose faith in me quite yet, I will get this figured out... some day!

What a Month!!

It is official; I have managed to fail at the blog updates!!! Those of you with bets YOU WIN!!! Where has March gone? We have spent the past three weekends in Nevis with our family; we have had birthdays, weddings, and more. Nate is going back on what we call "Crap" rotations on Monday so we have vowed to stay home in the cities for the weekend! Yippee. This is be the first weekend since the middle of Nov. that we will get to stay home with no major plans or events taking place! As for a recap of the month...
Olivia is officially off and to the races! We bought her first actually walking shoes last Friday and she has been trying to run ever since. She starts when her feet touch the floor in the morning and doesn't seem to slow down until she crashes into sleeping mid step. She is a mover alright. Not sure where she gets it?? LOL.
Elliot is teething AGAIN. MOLARS! Ugh. drool, temp, CRABBY. He getting quite tempted to walk tough, considering Olivia runs laps around him all day. We have been practicing hopefully he will give in and get up on those feet soon.
I do believe that their personalities are shining through more each day!
As for us...Nate got to enjoy some time out on the lake fishing the past three weeks, now it is on to focusing on fishing opener. He is staying busy at HCMC and we are getting excited to be near the end of his 1st year of residency. As for myself, I have been busy training for my first triathlon that is now only 2 weeks away! The kids and I have made quite the habit of getting up and getting out the door to the gym in the mornings. The kids love the daycare there! When we walk in the kids say "the babies are here, the babies are here!"
I guess I better put an end to this now that it is a book! Have a great weekend! I will upload picts while the kids are napping this afternoon!

Our Trip to California. January 2009

Meeting MICKEY!

The Pretend Tea Cup Ride!

Here we Go!

Beach Babes

Santa Monica Pier

This Close to Hollywood!

In January we took our 1st official family vacation to Rancho Cucamonga, California. Yes it is a real place! The kids did great; we even had a lay over in Salt Lake City. We were prepped with food and toys, of course they were not interested in either. I think most would say they were the hit of the plane. Our first day there we went on a little tour of Hollywood and LA. After seeing the Hollywood Sign and walking down the walk of fame we headed to Santa Monica Pier. It looked just like Baywatch! Wait! It was Baywatch! Nate was pretty excited that we were walking on the same sand as Pamela Anderson! We spent the whole day walking along the ocean, we even tried to get the kids in the water but it is winter there so the water was just a little too chilly. After a relaxing evening we were up and on our way to Disney Land. What an overwhelming experience! The kids enjoyed the Carousel, and the train ride. We actually had to wait in line to meet MICKEY as he was in the barn filming... Unfortunately Olivia came down with the flu on Monday night, me on Tuesday night, Nate on Wednesday, and Elliot on Thursday. We are blaming the lady who sat next to Olivia and I on the flight to Salt Lake, she was on her way home from Africa and insisted on touching Olivia! FYI: when on your way home from a 3rd world country KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!!! We did however pull ourselves together enough to take the kids to the San Diego Zoo on Thurs in between Nate recovering and Elliot getting sick. It was a short (4hour) trip through the zoo. Just when we thought we were on the mend we got back and about 2 hours later Elliot was sick with the same thing. So Friday we all sleeping, so we would be well rested for our flight home on Saturday! Good thing it was a 7 day vacation! Oh well we still had 3 days of fun. We may have to redo that vacation someday.

Elliot Loving every bite!

Well since we had two first birthdays this year we had to have two parties! Actually it was just easier to split the parties and have one with our family and friends up north and one with our family and friends here in the cities. This meant for a busy couple of weeks, the party up north was Jan 31st (the weekend after we got back from our vacation in CA) and the following weekend (Feb 7th) was Elliot and Olivia's party in the cities. They handled both parties like pros! There were almost 40 people celebrating with us up north and 30 adults and 14 kids celebrating here in the cities! YES, that is alot of people! More than we imagined, or planed for I think... Oh well everyone had fun. Since the kids LOVE the zoo we celebrated with Jungle Buddies on our plates, napkins, and even the cake! And as you can guess they loved the cake!!! Elliot dug in like he knew what he was doing, Olivia was a little reserved at first then realized just what was in front of her, free for the taking. I can't believe that our first year has gone by already and I am excited to see what our next year will bring. Although, we have decided that Elliot and Olivia do not need to party like that again until they are 16!

Welcome Friends!

Ok. After numerous harassing phone calls and emails of not receiving updated pictures of life as we know it with the twins Nate and I have decided to take a leap and finally create a blog! Many of our friends, especially those with toddlers and multiples have been blogging for a good year now. So although we are already a year into having Double the Trouble and Double the Fun in our house we will do our best to update this blog as much as time allows! I will also post some photos of the past year in the making! Boy it has gone fast!

Enjoy Our Story! Nate, Jo, Elliot, and Olivia
